The strategy
How Range Keeper trades
What it does
Range Keeper identifies the Asian session range on EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD and USDJPY, then fades a push outside that range when the move shows no follow-through. It is a patient strategy: three to six trades a week is typical.
How it manages risk
- Stop placed beyond the range extreme, sized so that a full stop costs a configurable 0.4% of equity by default.
- One position per pair, maximum three open at once across the portfolio.
- Trades are abandoned rather than chased if the entry level is not reached within the session.
- An ATR filter stands the strategy down entirely in abnormally volatile conditions, where range fades stop working.
What it does not do
- No grid, no averaging, no recovery lots.
- It will not trade through a high-volatility regime. During the March 2026 move it stood down for eleven sessions — the flat line in the record is the filter working, not an outage.
- It is a slow strategy. If you need daily activity, this is the wrong product and we would rather tell you now.

- Suggested minimum balance of €1,000
- A broker with reasonable Asian-session spreads; this matters more here than raw commission
- Swap-aware: positions can be held across the daily rollover
